After returning from South America, Detective Joshua Watson finds that a new drug lord has taken over the crime syndicate he'd been investigating, but a rival from South America quickly usurps him. Josh continues with his police work with little enthusiasm, feeling a loss of the love he once had for the job.

He pursues a new love interest before a significant event changes his life. After moving his life in a new direction, he investigates the new unknown crime organization, attempting to find out who they are, where they are and what bearing they had on the life-changing event he experienced.
